I really really really hope wolf likes my song but I totally get it if it's just too much. But looking at the last round with all the melodic and power metal... I might be okay.

Ballads can be cheesy but there's nothing wrong with that. Ballads sometimes end up being my favorite songs on otherwise full-metal albums. I LOVE ballads. Ask me my favorite Stratovarius songs. Go ahead.

Chad, some of my favorite Strato songs are ballads, especially the huge power ballads: Move the Mountain, 4000 Rainy Nights, A Drop In The Ocean, When Mountains Fall, etc... If I were to rank every one of their songs (which I plan to do soon) they'd rank very high. Some of them don't even have percussion, just a little guitar, but more vocals, strings, and flutes. A proper ballad is a more enjoyable listening experience than a cookie cutter metal track, imo.
