Phenomenal 3 track EP. I have all of their stuff Saved on my Spotify already.
This has a 1970's "heavy metal" feel to it. Vocals sound like Eric Bloom/early Chuck Billy.

I'll have to check this out. After their doom-ier beginnings (Curse of Conception is pretty sweet in this regard), they've moved to a more classic-metal sound. For my taste, they hit the sweet spot with Divided By Darkness (which has a healthy dose of 80s metal too). Their last full length is great too.

I listened to this earlier and was left wanting more! All three songs are great. Even though it feels like a love letter to that classic metal era, the song writing is really strong. Wake Up gave me Bark at the Moon vibes  :heart

Yeah, you're right. I was trying to place that riff.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

You bought it (if I got you right), the least you could do is give it one full listen. The last song is the most metal.

So I saw them twice on that tour. I saw them in Boston and then the next night in Providence. I can count on one hand how many shows I've been drunk at, but the Providence show was one of them. It was a really small crowd. At the end of the show, I literally jumped on stage and shook Joey's hand. He was like What's up dude? lol

I was um..escorted from the stage. :lol

In addition to the classics you have in this batch, I just want to add a shout out for this one. What a great album. This and "Bleed" were such personal takes on the power genre of that period. I thought there was some talk of a comeback...?

So, I think my past UFO exploration stuck to the albums with Michael Schenker (including Walk on Water), which I find fantastic. Are you all saying I'm missing out? Anyone willing to give me a list of the best ones, outside of Schenker's tenure?  :)

At a bare minimum, you need to check out the Paul Chapman era.  Mechanix is a top three UFO album for me (find the version with the bonus track, "Heel Of A Stranger").  He is WAYYYYYYY underrated.  Schenker is a better soloist in terms of the notes he plays and the tone, but Chapman has a real knack for writing well-though out solo spots.  They are like mini-compositions within the bigger song.   I love them.

Well, you could spend a few days reading this thread!
https://www.dreamtheaterforums.org/boards/index.php?topic=55669.0

 ;D ;D

The 4 Paul Chapman albums are terrific. Stadler recommended Mechanix, but my pick of the 4 is easily The Wild The Willing And The Innocent. Paul's solo to close out Profession Of Violence is amazing.

They also did a couple of one off albums, both excellent, with other guitarists.

Of the 5 Vinnie Moore Era albums, I would recommend The Visitor. To me, it's the most consistently good, but they are all growers. Warning: the Vinnie albums are a Shred Free Zone. He displays some immaculate chops, but UFO goes gown a a path of a bluesy but heavier version of the Rolling Stones.
You Are Here, the first with Vinnie is also quite good too.

If you go on to do a little UFO exploratory run, chronicle it in the thread I posted. :)
