Continuing, for some reason, my Enchant rediscovery...Wounded is a good album taken by itself, but it felt like a bit of a disappointment after Blueprint. Starts pretty great with Below Zero (I remember seeing them open with it live when they supported DT), then the songs kind of settle on a relatively consistent tempo, without a ton of highlights within them. Nice melodies and great playing, just not quite as "bright" as the debut. Time Lost is somewhat of an oddity, given it's a collection of "leftovers", but I always enjoyed it. The pre-Blueprint songs are fun. I'm repeating myself, but Interact, in particular, always sounded to me like 80s Rush playing prog metal, perhaps with a couple of Marillion guest spots
Speaking of Marillion, somehow I found myself in the mood for Holidays in Eden. I know this is considered Marillion's "pop/commercial" album, but I've always been very fond of it. Doesn't reach the heights of Seasons End, or other top Marillion albums, but I have to say I enjoy it more than many of their more recent efforts. Also, semi-random observation: there are a couple of spots - second half of The Party, beginning of the title track - I feel could be at home on Rush's Presto or Roll the Bones...
