I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

It's really good. I checked it based of Bart's comment about how well Martin did with the Ozzy stuff, and ended up listening to the whole thing.
I never had an issue with Dio singing Ozzy's stuff though.

I think Martin sang Ozzy stuff better than his own stuff.  He could never replicate what he was able to do in the studio.

He was ridiculous in the studio. I'm really going to try and make these albums stick. Loved my listen to The Headless Cross yesterday and The Eternal Idol, for that matter. The only one I ever listen to unprompted is Cross Purposes.

When you get to Forbidden, skip the first track.  Seriously, listen to the album starting on Song 2, and see if your perception changes.

I've posted about listening to The Incident once or twice recently, but I've been listening to it so much lately. I just can't get enough of this album. At this rate, it might become my second-favorite Porcupine Tree album behind Deadwing.

As for Act V, I listened to that for the first time tonight. It was pretty enjoyable, and there's lots of interesting and diverse material throughout the album. I'll likely be returning to this one sooner than later.

OK, this is a pretty great album.  I like the production, the songs are complex but melodic, I hear a little bit of Haken influence but I think those comparisons miss the mark.  This feels a lot less chaotic and angular, and I don't remember hearing any dubstep (thankfully, I hate that shit).  This is predominantly clean, melodic vocals and the dude has solid pipes.  I heard a few growled lines here and there but they were very short and very few - maybe 3 or 4 lines through the entire album.

Definitely worth checking out for any fan of progressive metal with clean vocals and complex but melodic songs, some longer tracks here too, 10+ minutes.
