What do you think of that Arc Angel record?   That was a big one amongst my friends through high school.  I never met him, but Jeff Cannata is from around here, and supposedly did some producing/engineering for a dude I went to high school with and is in a band (I dated his wife; more correctly, he married a girl I dated in high school).   Going back to it, it's not QUITE as good I as remember, but still.  Plus trying to find a copy (reasonably, that is) is like finding hens teeth.  Prof. Peart wrote about finding his white whale in the UFO thread, and this is like that. There are copies, but they're all at least $20, plus shipping, and I don't think I want it that badly.

yeah pretty decent.  That was actually my first listen to it.  A few really good tracks, although nothing really wowed me.  In the category of Balance and other bands of that slightly softer melodic rock and AOR ilk.  Good job on the Court of the Crimson King cover.
Winger would be better!

The band is so tight on this. Great performance. Epic solos.

Sirenia - full discography

I'd heard My Mind's Eye about 15 years ago, but never really explored this band until this past week.  I'd always enjoyed Tristania's Beyond the Veil, and love how this band has morphed from that
beauty and the beast style into something more symphonic over the course of their albums, and they've had some great singers as well.

I only had time for one song, but I'll continue listening today. I didn't know what album to start with, but it seems to have high ratings on ProgArchives.

My CD of "Dirt" has a slightly different cover; mine has the model, but the desert cracks obscure her.  The boob isn't as obvious on mine.  ;)

I'm listening to:

Michael Schenker - Bridge The Gap
Michael Schenker - Spirit On A Mission
UFO - Strangers Box (Haven't started yet, but that's today's listening throughout the day).

Man...I do deep dive into Type O around this time every year—World Coming Down, October Rust and Life is Killing Me are a pretty impeccable trip of records.

I SHOULD like them more than I do.  I have Bloody Kisses, and it's good.  I can only take Peter's voice in moderation, but still.

In my opinion Bloody Kisses is the worst of all their albums and it's still amazing. It's hard for me to pick a favorite between October Rust, World Coming Down, and Life is Killing Me. Dead Again is just slightly behind those 3. I don't really count Slow, Deep, and Hard. That's a whole other beast.
