My friend's band Adamantis released their debut album today and it's fucking dope US power metal. Really loving it, and I'm not saying that just 'cause I'm his friend. Also got a sick t-shirt and patch in the mail. The navy blue and the artwork go sooo well together. I want more non-black band shirts! The cover art on the CD makes it the prettiest CD I've bought all year.

I gave it a whirl after seeing you pimp it on FB.  Only got 1/2 way thru.  Music is good, but vocally I thought it was sub-par.

Plus I was busy with a couple of other releases yesterday

Without a doubt, my album of the year.

The guitarwork is amazing but I'm not a big fan of the vocals.
Andy's solo-album suits me better.

I am not a death fan either. But like Arch Enemy, the music is so good I still love Mors. And the vocal melodies are very good given the limits of the genre.

I would love Mors and AE to have normal vocals on a separate release. I think both would be amazing.

Ozric Tentacles - Space for the Earth

It's a good one.

Their usual fare; they're never bad albums, just extremely familiar-sounding ones.  I like it, but so far it feels like Technicians of the Sacred has it beat.

PP: Univers Zero - Heresie

:lol

Next up: The Baoule of the Ivory Coast, a compilation of various musics from the Baoule people of Côte d'Ivoire.

That is the first Ozric Tentacles album I've ever heard; I might have to check out Technicians of the Sacred sometime.
