Transatlantic - SMPT:e - Pretty good album, as I expected, though I'd say Bridge Across Forever is significantly better. I'm not sure I'm a fan of We All Need Some Light, but everything else was great. The lyrics aren't the best, though...
Porcupine Tree - Lightbulb Sun - Out of the four albums I listened to today, I think I enjoyed this one the most. I like the atmosphere of Porcupine Tree's later albums better, but this one's still really good. I think my favorites off the album are Hatesong and Feel So Low.
Leprous - Coal - Honestly, I didn't care much for this album. It felt way too repetitive at times and I do not like the harsh vocals. I did like a couple songs on this album (The Valley and Salt), but aside from those two, I don't think I'd want to return to this album. Furthermore, I'm unsure if I'd want to listen to anything else by Leprous, provided it's anything similar to this album. That being said, I don't think this is a bad album or anything, it's just not something I really enjoyed.
TesseracT - Polaris - I'm a bit confused here. It feels like I shouldn't like this album -- it reminds me of a lot of bands that I find annoying -- but yet I do like this album. It's nothing fantastic, but I like it enough that I'd listen to it again. My only complaint is that it felt like all the songs kind of sounded the same, but at least it sounded good. Going in, I was expecting the album to be heavy and aggressive, but I'm surprised at how melodic it tended to be. I've heard their previous album, Altered State, was really good, so I might check that out in the near future.
