Strangely, I’ve never heard this album other than the singles. It’s very good.

How is that even possible?

Well I was a huge Ozzy fan whilst Randy and Jake were in the band but I just didn’t like Zak and his never ending squealy harmonics. So I never bothered with this one or any that came after it with the exception of Scream, and that wasn’t great.

Wow, that is surprising, coming from you.  I hope you like it; I always point to Diary as my favorite Ozzy record (and it is) but arguably, No More Tears is his best album.  There's not a duff song on that whole album, and it sounds just beautiful.

I did really enjoy it so will give some of the others a go.
It was just a “wrong time” thing I think.
And Diary is my favourite Ozzy album.

When NRFTW came out I was hugely disappointed - I expected a new album from Jake (my first metal guitar idol) and yeah..........total style change.   It took me some time to come around to that album.  For a while there all I played from it was Breaking All The Rules and the "hidden track" Hero , which I overplayed to be honest.   Eventually I came around and liked most of it , with the exception of Crazy Babies which copped the Skip button.

Then No More Tears was a pleasant surprise and I played that to death.

I’ve never heard it either, and my older brother is a huge Ozzy fan. They literally call him Ozzy. Don’t think I’ve ever listened to one of his albums all the way through.

He’s 4 years older than me. I got my first CD player the summer he came home from college with a bunch of CDs and promptly abandoned them while he worked. It was all metal and grunge stuff (Metallica, Queensryche, Megadeth, Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, etc.), but the one I gravitated to most out of all of them was Winger’s Pull. Come to think of it I probably did listen to No More Tears a time or two, but it didn’t stick with me beyond what I already knew from the radio.

Genesis - Foxtrot. Never heard any early Genesis before and I enjoyed it.

King Crimson - Red - again, never been the biggest prog fan but this was weird but great.

Periphery IV- Hail Stan
Paradise Lost - Obsidian
River of Nihil - Where Owls Know My Name
A.A. Williams - Forever Blue

Both Paradise Lost and A.A. Williams will probably make my top 10 this year.
