I enjoyed it a lot. A lot of variety on it. Not every track landed for me but enough that I will check out the other albums by them at some point

I know this is a concept album so I assume it’s intentional that a lot of parts sound similar? Not my first time listening to it of course but I’ve never listened to it as much as the next 2.

This album has some really solid songs like Trial of Tears, Lines in the Sand, Hells Kitchen and Peruvian Skies.

Not really. Winger were heavier. And proggier. Trixter were more like Bon Jovi. They were late teens when they made this album.
