Uraya/Gormott/Mor Ardain are amazing tracks. The night versions as well.

Yesss. One of my favorite themes, actually, is the Torigoth music, that's another morning alarm for me. That game has no shortage of brilliant music.

Today is more PRR - Eupnea, and Testament - Titans of Creation.  :metal

Now it's Dynazty - The Dark Delight. First time hearing a full album from them.

With Dynazty, I quite enjoyed the new one. Their best for me is still Sultans Of Sin. The only hting that puts me off them a bit is the awful dance music-y synth sounds.

Dude... the synths are a big reason I love their sound!  :lol

This Deafheaven album has some clean vocals from guest vocalists.  I really like the music, but cannot hear any of the harsh/scream vocals.  I did look up the lyrics on one of the scream songs and the lyrics are really good.

The first song on here is bafflingly awkward-sounding but the rest of the album is pretty good.

Hey it's the only bearable Deafheaven album! :corn

Cool 2020 album that I am definitely going back to.

Has some classic melodic Metallica. A little Maiden. A little Nirvana. A little Van Halen. With vocals not quite as loopy as Coheed.

It's a really cool mix.

Only issue is that it does peter out a bit towards the end.

The German vocals sound like when you spun a vinyl album backwards back in the day to look for satanic messages  :lol
I like the riffing. The older track I'm checking out has English vocals, much better. Nice recommendation Tim. For once

Elder - Omens   Followup to the Reflections album.  Really good on a first listen.

These guys had to reschedule the upcoming tour to the fall.  I noticed the tickets are 15.00 in Nashville with 3 bands.  How do these bands make any money?

Today so far, some recent releases:

Loviatar - Lightless (doom metal)
Joviac - Here and Now (progressive rock)
Manam - Ouroboros (melodeath)
Words of Farewell - Inner Universe (melodeath)
Band of Rain - Petrichor (progressive rock)
Marco Grieco - Nothing Personal (progressive rock)

Loviatar is eh, Joviac is pretty good, Manam is eh, Words of Farewell EP is fantastic. Band of Rain is eh. The Marco Grieco is really cool, entirely written and performed by one guy and it has a very classic prog rock vibe to it. Awesome keyboard sounds and playing; the 15 minute epic Winter is like a giant synth orgy.

Sweven-The Eternal Resonance

I do like it, but I don't love the vocals. They would have been much better in a Black Metal style for this music, which is actually pretty cool.

The last 7 days. A lot of these albums came out at the end of last month or the start of April so I'm still catching up, but WOW, so many good records this past week. Only a few duds on this collage. NOT the Eminem, Tim!!

What did you think of the NIN?

It was okay. It was both what I was expecting and not what I was expecting - I expected the chill, eerie vibes, but I didn't expect THAT much minimalism. I'm conflicted on it. It wasn't bad at all, but memorable? Hardly. When it was over, I kind of did a double take and said, "... huh."

Yeah it's a tad too minimal for my taste tbh, but the other one, Locusts, I find that it has a bit more meat to it, and it's more memorable.

And it’s darker too and darker is always better.
