Got my first two 2020 album listens in tonight:

Musically, this is amazing. Heavy and melodic in parts. Great guitar work. But it really pushes my limit on the harsh vocals. It's hard to quantify what passes vocalwise, but this is at the edge of what I'll tolerate. Still, this is an awesome album.
@Kade, you might like this.

For the first half, this is a gorgeous guitar driven instrumental album. Then in the second half, there are three guest vocal tracks. One is OK, but the vocals on the other two blow. It does end on a whimper too. But the first half of this album is really fantastic.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

I didn't realize Blackguard had a new album out. I listened to Profugus Mortis and Firelight quite a bit back in the day. I'll have to check this new one out.

Just had a listen to the Pat Reilly album and you summed it up perfectly Tim. Should have just left the vocals off. Enjoyed the first half though.

Solid atmospheric sludge metal from the UK.  I've known the name for a while, and finally got around to taking a real listen.

Love that Last Tribe Jon.

I really like that Fight album too.  The 1-2 opener of Pit and Gun is awesome.

I've seen that before, back when I was unaware that it's a dead ringer of the album cover of Popol Vuh's In den Gärten Pharaos. :) What is it, again?

Into Glory Ride! I just spun Hail to England the other day. "Silly" as they are, you can't beat those early Manowar albums, not even with a faux-spike gauntlet.  ::)

NP: Amon Düül II - Tanz der Lemminge

@Sacul: give Dirty a listen. That and Goo are my go-to Sonic Youth albums.
