Wonderful old school, straight up metal.

Black Sabbath meets Dio meets Candlemass.  What a find, what a metal album.  Brilliant, check it out.

I believe I sampled the Midnight Priest when it came out.

You gave Crypt Sermon the perfect description. That's good stuff right there.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

The Midnight Priest is as generic as it comes, but catchy and to the point.  Some good melodies too.

The Crypt Sermon is amazing.  This album kind of answered my questioning on looking for new music all the time in the other thread.  Wating my words when you find stuff like this.

Yup, finding new music shouldn't be something to ever agonize over. It hits you when it hits you.

This album is just so damned cool.

One of the "easiest on the ears" albums of the year. It's as if Thin Lizzy, Blue Oyster Cult and Fleetwood Mac had a baby.
I really love this album.

Really cool album that I enjoyed quite a bit earlier in the year. Puppies posted it in the art thread, Been a while since I had spun it. Still holds up. Excellent stuff.

Really haven't given this the attention it deserved. It's getting a dedicated list at the moment. And it won't be it's last.

The Insomnium is my album of the year.  Thought Slipknot had it in the bag but this has easily taken over.  I spin it all the time and haven't felt this way about an album for a long time.  It's incredible and easily my fav album from them.  Some of the lyrics hit me hard at the moment.

the last song on that Tanagra album is great & I've seen a few lists where it was peoples' song of the year without the album even being mentioned
i didn't end up getting the album myself 'cause i do feel besides like one or two songs it's pretty inconsistent but that last one is the good stuff

I listened to it a few times when it came out and I definitely liked it.

Listening today, I feel it's pretty strong throughout. I actually liked it more than I remember. I love long guitar solo instrumental sections.

It won't be months before I hit it again.

Running through this now:

The Moloch  :metal

Going to spend the next week or so closing the book on 2019 by running through a bunch of 2019 albums I've saved on Spotify, and going through people's lists.

(senza - even a worm will turn)

i listened to this when it dropped but a YE list reminded me this existed and hmm... okay yeah this is intense and atmospheric and emotive in all the right ways, even if i'm still not 100% convinced on the style.  it's like... blackened screamo with some mathcore influence too, or something? it's intense but it's also only a half hour long so

I've seen this one in a lot of 2019 year lists. First spin I totally get in. Epic progressive death that will get some more spins in the next days and weeks.

Running through more of 2019.

Great classic sounding hard rock album. A cross between Thin Lizzy and early Tygers Of Pan Tang.

It's not as power metalish as it looks. It's actually pretty decent hard rock with female vocals. Really easy on the ears.

And K-Lox, this is not a Zelda album!

EDIT: This album is excellent!

Think I'm gonna share these each week. Here's what I jammed most over the last 7 days.

From a Mega Man Legends island jamming power metal to a Walrus listening to black metal, I like your story arc.
