DT: D/T (more specifically: Pale Blue Dot, still my favourite on the album)
before that was: Queen: A Night At The Opera

Target: Deep Water Flames https://targetchile.bandcamp.com

Kinda like Gojira meets Opeth with Meshuggah in the corner somewhere?  I don't know.  But it's groovy and heavy and now that you like growls their vocalist really delivers on those.

I'm spinning Muse - The Resistance for the first time in a whike because current events have me feeling a little guillotiney. Honestly the lyrics are goofy as hell, but every song still slaps (except for Guiding Light).

Altho "Rise up and take the power back / It's time the fat cats had a heart attack / You know their time is coming to an end / We have to unify and watch our flag ascend" are some of my all time favorite lyrics. Those lines ALWAYS get me so pumped.

This is actually really good! Lots of Gojira vibes here. :tup

which is what they are supposed to do I think. The Resistance is one of my two favourite Muse albums (the other is The 2nd Law)

Against all my expectations, I am enjoying the new Tool album. Never thought I'd say that. However... the songs do all sound very similar to each other, a lack of hooks, I think. Anyway, Pneuma is playing as I type this. Very good tune.

That's been my experience when I've tried to get into their stuff. Maybe I'm missing something, or it's just not for me.

Rolling Stones - Aftermath

Great, great underappreciated album.    Kind of their "Help!" or "Rubber Soul", i.e. bridge from the early, more derivative stuff and the later, classic stuff.

Also been listening to that. And

Tool - Fear Inoculum
Pendulum - In Silico
Knocked Loose - A Different Shade of Blue
Glass Animals - How To Be A Human Being

mostly
people on this board are actual music fans who developed taste in music and not casual listeners who are following current fashion trends and listening to only current commercial hits.
