Yngwie Malmsteen - Facing the Animal.

I forgot how amazingly consistent, well wriiten and brilliant this was.  Wonderful songwriting with no real fillers IMO.

I thought I had this on my iPod. I guess not... Don't know who Mats Levin is, but I see that Cozy Powell plays on this. Interesting...

Last decent Yngwie album other than the Concerto Suite. It was a bonus choice in my top 50 I think. I’m not a fan of the opener but the rest shows that when he can be bothered, he can write a tune.

Rush - Hold Your Fire

Bryan Adams - In The Heat Of the Night

Into The Fire?   Really loved that album as a kid and the last time I took any notice of new music from Bryan Adams.

The new Tycho album, Weather. Came out on the 12th. Oh my goodness, this is so good. Fans of electronic synthy stuff, eat your heart out. Could potentially be non-rock album of the year... but time will tell
Not a big Tycho fan but I'll prob check it out  :tup

I love the instrumental tracks on this, especially the title track! I'm not big on the ones vocals, the added vocals do they mostly sound pretty generic to me and distract from the cool stuff happening in the electronic part. Luckily (for me) the songs with vocals will be reworked into instrumental tracks, to be released later this year

That Iced Earth record is easily one of their best imo. That was one I grew up with and played heavily as a kid. That record reminds me of mowing the lawn.  :lol
From a Mega Man Legends island jamming power metal to a Walrus listening to black metal, I like your story arc.

It was actually the first IE album I bought after becoming a fan. It came with a 2nd CD with an interview with Jon. I was thinking, jeez, this guy's a dick. :lol

oh boy this is not as interesting as white tomb, it's more post-metal than black metal at this point. i kinda it but at the same time i don't find it as gripping or intense, and the third track here is someone even worse than the third track on white tomb, just an absolute waste of 8 minutes

it's better than their third album though. i guess these guys are gonna stay one album wonders for me though 'cause i'm just not very into this

That album kicks so much ass. Nick's lyrics about his health issues are so captivating.

I'm pretty sure I warned you that you wouldn't like their other albums nearly as much when I sent you White Tomb.

I would definitely recommend their EP's Sol and Tides. Sol is very close to the White Tomb sound. Tides leans a bit more towards Post Metal, but doesn't lean as hard as Mammal.

generally not big on EPs unless 1. it's an artist's only release so far or 2. it's from an artist i'm already big int & have exhausted their other stuff  :lol but fair

The EP's are both over 30 minutes long, so almost album length.
