This album is incredible.

It's like Dream Theater without vocals.
listened to this one, it's fairly alright instrumental stuff but it does feel a bit uninspired and derivative. i wasn't really surprised or captivated by anything on this though i enjoyed all of it well enough. may relisten.

I enjoyed it immensely! :P

would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

It's almost the exact same classic Rhapsody lineup (Luca, Fabio, Patrice, Dominique, Alex) except they replaced Alex Staropoli with Deepak Chopra. Blah.
From a Mega Man Legends island jamming power metal to a Walrus listening to black metal, I like your story arc.

Yeah, had a listen to the Rhapsody. It’s ok but it’s no Dawn of Veeectooooreeee. I haven’t enjoyed a Rhapsody album since they became all serious after DoV.

Taking a little break from my Blind Guardian discovery to check this guy out. I read so much about him and finally decided to give him a shot.

Got to say, I'm not hating it. I am going to dig deeper into his stuff. His growls aren't too bad and his clean singing is quite nice.

I really like Ihsahn but I was pretty disappointed with this release. For me, it's nowhere near as good as Arktis or Eremita. I encourage you to just listen to all his albums, I don't think he's really released a bad one.

yeah Amr is just... not very interesting. I like After a lot, tho i'm a sax addict, and Arktis is pretty good too

I listened to both Amr and Arktis yesterday and loved them both. Went looking around and Laser CD had his first 5 albums for $8 a piece and shipping was $5 total. Pulled the trigger on them all. Got Amr and Arktis from Amazon. Looking forward to diving into his catalog.

The more I listen to this, the less likely it feels like it's going to get topped by anything else this year. It's like this glorious hybrid of what I love most about post-hardcore with what I love most about tech death & a jazz flair to add that extra bit of flavor and it's ridiculous how the album manages to make every last song great without feeling repetitive or overlong

Yngwie Malmsteen - Facing the Animal.

I forgot how amazingly consistent, well wriiten and brilliant this was.  Wonderful songwriting with no real fillers IMO.

The new Tycho album, Weather. Came out on the 12th. Oh my goodness, this is so good. Fans of electronic synthy stuff, eat your heart out. Could potentially be non-rock album of the year... but time will tell

Therion is his main bandI think.  Sang on a couple of At Vance albums too.  Quite a few random projects too.  Check the album mate.

It's a lot tighter than their last album for sure, I like it but only a few songs do much for me and I ended up passing on picking it up for now, ehh
