is the inter arma any good. i didn't like the last album (despite the gorgeous cover & an image from the booklet was one of my avatars) & didn't like what i checked out from the new one either
I've only listened to it once. It's a lot to take in. I would say it's at least as good as their last one, with potential for it to grow on me. Ask me again in a few weeks :corn

The lead singer of this band sounds like she would work great in Ayreon.

It has some power metal elements to it, but it's a lot more thoughtful than simple power metal. There's some progressive elements to it too, and even the occasional loopy keyboards. Lots of long songs. Definitely not power metal vocals.

It's different. I like it.

Oddly enough, I almost sent a song off that album for the bonus round of your roulette. It came up in my "new albums I might like" section on Google Play so I gave it a listen and immediately thought of you. I thought it was pretty good.

Top 10 all time vocal for me on that one, and closer to #5 than #10.

it's pretty good but i'm probably gonna pass on getting it, that overly symphonic style doesn't hold a ton of appeal to me unfortunately

rn listening to the new Laster as it just arrived in the mail  :metal i have a stack of like, a dozen records that just arrived that i need to get through tho

For the record, I hate symphonic metal. Nothing is more corny than that. But this doesn't hit me over the head. It's not symphonic driven. I don't mind some subtle accompaniment.

Just in the past week discovered this band.  I have not purchased yet, but have listened to these listed along with Core.  For those that have listened to both for real and not on youtube, which version do you prefer?

I was grooving to Stevie Ray Vaughn - The Sky is Crying  yesterday, so I feel ya, Mang.

Blues of Desperation is one of my favorite albums of the past decade. Mountain Climbing is just too, too good!

2019 Redux version. Specifically, the remix. Both versions were remastered and are quieter than the original. The remix is amazing.
