Incredible batch today
King Goat: I have still only listened to Conduit once, but this album left such a good first impression on me that I just continued spinning it. Love the combination of doom metal and dashes of prog, and the vocals are quite amazing all the way through, but I already knew that since I first heard Conduit. Might enter my top 10 albums of the year to be honest.
Little Tybee: This is like Mew + The Reign of Kindo or something, super amazing indie pop/prog.
Parius: A bit of Slugdge, a bit of BTBAM, some Slice the Cake. AKA Train-approved prog/tech death. Also a top 10 of the year contender at this point. Oh and I love it when the bass guitar is as high in the mix as it is here, definitely one of the highlights of this record is the abundance of cool bass grooves.
DJ Shadow: Don't know how listening to Tyler the Creator lead me to this, but I've seen so much praise for it I figured it was time to get into it proper cause I'm only vaguely familiar with DJ Shadow. Deserves the hype man, one of the best hip-hop albums I have heard.
Listened to this one this morning and I was really pleasantly surprised!
I'm already considering putting this on the #1 spot in my TesseracT album rankings, love it.
