What album are you listening to? v.6
« on: March 29, 2018, 08:46:29 AM »
Old one here:  https://www.dreamtheaterforums.org/boards/index.php?topic=46858.0

For this new one, can we try to cut down the back-to-back posts in the thread?  When there are multiple posts by the same people in the same day, the thread quickly becomes long, cluttered, and hard to follow.  If you are posting 2 or 3 times in a row, or like 4 out of 6 posts just to post new albums you are listening to, you should just be editing your post to add the new album instead of spamming up the thread with a new post every hour or so.  Thanks.

Those who already posted today in the old one, feel free to re-post if you like.

I've listened to this today, Swallowtail is great (Chad recommended me this song yesterday), other songs are ranging from alright to good, but the whole album hasn't really grabbed me. A fine listen though.
This first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

Even though he's kind of an idiot, I'm glad I gave this a listen between roulette stuff. Really good 90s downtempo, lots of variety here.

Anyway I'm listening to Samen by öOoOoOoOoOo

It's a real album, and one you'd probably recognize a few songs from - it sadly was licensed-whored everywhere because radio stations at the time refused to play his music. Seems it worked, since the record became quite a seller :lol

Man. I'm not even into this style of metal but this is a great album. Not nearly as good as Ashes, but better than Serpent/Sphere. Some cool lyrics in Into The Painted Grey - "Hands that lift the ocean to vertical depths above the stars" - love that line.

Not yet... gotta build that playlist.  I got into Light of Day 18 months ago when they played PPUSA.  Killer... just killer.  Quite easily the most impressive thing I've ever seen live.

New augury: s'ok but I preferred their last. And beyond creation in general.
New primordial: eeehh fine I guess. Second to last track sucked but the rest was fine just a little safe, wouldn't revisit
New barren earth: fine but lacked the kinds of moments that made me like their last album
New lychgate: kinda weird and interesting, I'll probably revisit it
