I read a review that called this album the ultimate Refused/Smashing Pumpkins/Deftones circle jerk. It's that with a lot of Progressive Metal leanings as well. I wasn't expecting to like this anywhere near as much as I did but damn, it's good.

Second listen to this and maybe I over sold this a bit. This has really high points but a lot of it kind of plods along. Last of the Painted Hills and Garden of Earthly Deligjts are amazing, but other parts of the album could definitely be trimmed. Still worth a listen though.

It was mine as well. After all the positive Ayreon chatter I read on here, I decided to pick it up. After a couple listens, I figured that if a 3-disc set had songs ranging from good to awesome, with nothing I considered subpar, the whole discography was probably worth checking out.

Yes it's a great album.

My favorite is probably Keepers 3:The Legacy followed by Better Than Raw. But Time Of The Oath is Top 5 Deris Era for sure.

Everyone nuts over You Won't Get What You Want but I like this album much more, the first five songs have such a wild, kickass energy to them that never lets up

Well, not surprising, considering who his father was. I most definitely will check it out. Me liking it (to say the least) is highly likely I think.

To be honest, I only checked them out months ago out of curiosity based on the name. Was fully expecting it to be pretty lame stuff based on past experience of famous people’s offspring making music. Was a very pleasant surprise and more impressive as he wrote it all on his own and plays all the instruments and sings. Truly a solo album. He’s got a really nice rock voice and the songs sound instantly accessible, radio friendly rock songs. Nothing groundbreaking here but he clearly has talent as a singer songwriter.

Mother of Millions - Artifacts

One of my favorites from 2019. From Greece, the band plays the sort of alt-prog that could be coming out of Australia, but with a personal touch. I hear traces of Karnivool, Tool(-lite) and perhaps some less pretentious Dredg (disclaimer: I love Dredg!). The mood is generally relaxed, but the sound is nice and full. Strong vocals and very nice production. Plus the keyboard playing is super-tasteful - the piano interlude, Nema, is beautiful.
