I ended up really enjoying the Mare Cognitum tracks on Wanderers: Astrology Of The Nine, I should check them out more. Though I did listen to their 2nd most recent album for a bit and I don't remember finding it as interesting.

MC has the metal album of 2021 imo but Panopticon could unseat it
Astrology of the Nine is immense
Hannes Grossman album is good but I was not blown away

Really starting to warm up to this one. The post-punk aesthetics work really well here.

Checked this new album out today and I'm really enjoying it. Harsh vocals (more than bearable) over some epic passages. The album has 4 songs with time lengths of 11,12,15, & 18 minutes. The drums get a bit clunky in parts, but some nice long musical sections.

Yes, really enjoying this too. I'm also hearing some early, darker Depeche Mode (Secret Devotion) and early NIN as well (Death of the Soul), but all in a very coherent package. Definitely did not disappoint with this one!
