This is the debut album of Calyces, a (Greek?) progressive metal band. They're quite unknown but I've seen this pop up quite a few times, it's been getting some good press and it's easy to hear why. I'm just at the second track but the production is superb and they sound like a more progressive Mastodon. So far, really good stuff.

I’ve just been listening to my entire Marillion collection on shuffle all day. Going on like 9 or 10 hours now.

I was aware of this, but never checked it out.  I don't really love them, but it's pretty good when I'm in the right mood.  I should still check it out.

2 full plays this morning. If you've ever heard ACDC, you know exactly what you're getting here, but damn is it good fun rock, and that's all it needs to be. It's crazy how good these guys sound, as old as they are.

Also crazy how Wal-Mart has vinyls of these but literally no CD copies. That surprised me.

Damn this album is so fucking harsh and noisy yet so melodic and emotional, I love it. Power Noise / Industrial-Techno stuff, like what club music actually sounds like to your ears.

Really impressed with the ACDC.... by ACDC standards.  Bruce was really good too, but I was multi-tasking my way thru that with work yesterday.
