Neal Morse - Sola Scriptura, Sola Gratia, Songs From November

I've been on a NM kick this week.
Zydar is my new hero.  I just laughed so hard I nearly shat.

I've explored this band a bit more since Eupnea really impressed me. This album's pretty different but I honestly like it a lot more than The Dark Third.

Well this was a surprise - five songs from one of their earliest albums re-recorded and remixed with better production. The drums still don't sound great IMO but it's definitely an improvement :lol

My first take on it is that it's good but I prefer Fantastic Planet, that might change on repeat listens.

Guthrie Govan - Erotic Cakes

I'm bummed he never did a solo follow up to this but I guess The Aristocrats took that spot. If you're a Guthrie fan there is a live fusion album with The Fellowshop at the Bassment Club and it has some of the most insane playing. https://youtu.be/TtcPeX1QLWc

This is an excellent album. Bedlamite is an overall great song, and would be my choice for song of the year. Just due to the overall uplifting vibe in the message, and way he decided to deliver and tell it.
I don't know how they can be so proud of winning with them odds. - Little Big Man

Aether - Nebula Orionis

Like atmospheric black metal... but with some rock rhythmic elements and riffs.. synths riding atop it all. Good stuff. No vocals. Would make a great soundtrack for a platformer or shoot 'em up video game

EDIT: I am listening to a lot of country lately and absolutely loving it. This morning I've got Linda Ronstadt's Heart Like A Wheel and Reba McEntire's For My Broken Heart. Thinking about some Crystal Gayle and Dolly Parton next.

Don't think I've seen that but will give it a go. I've seen plenty of Aristocrats concerts online and was going to see him earlier this year before things stopped.

if you haven't yet, listen to Fancy by Reba.  Not sure an artist has made a cover their own more than she did with that song.
