That Mr. Bungle album is quite good which isn't a big surprise with that line-up. Great riffs and leads all over the place and Lombardo is as great as ever. One of the best trash albums I've heard in a while

It sure is ferocious, isn't it?
At first I was disappointed by the idea of them treading old ground instead of carrying on in a more eclectic fashion, but in hindsight it's silly that I doubted them. They're all fantastic musicians after all and not half-assing it here in the slightest. I believe one listen to the outro of Methematics would convince anyone of that! That scream is prime Patton.

The demo's rather prodigious material for a bunch of guys in their late teens. I'm glad they glorified it with a killer production and that there's actually a fair bit of deviation from pure pummeling thrash on it as well.

Human by Nature (prog-infused psychedelic metal): https://linktr.ee/hbnearth
Our debut album "Eläimys" is a trip I can whole-heartedly recommend to anyone into Pain of Salvation, Opeth, The Mars Volta, Magma etc.

That Kip Winger record is a gem...the B-side is freaking fabulous! "Steam," "Daniel," "How Far Will We Go"...easily amongst his best work to date.

At least one truly great album in here.

It is a fabulous album, although I still rate Songs from the Ocean Floor above it. Wouldn’t argue too strongly if you feel otherwise.

Winger is a fav of mine as well...in fact, I'll go so far as to say 1993's "Pull" is in my top 20 all-time.

'Songs From the Ocean Floor' is a gorgeous, heart-wrenching piece of work (written and recorded in the wake of his first wife's death), and as far as atristic statements go, it's one of the most potent things I've ever heard.

All kidding aside, I'd recommend to anyone that they set aside their preconceptions, whatever they may be, of Kip Winger and check out his solo stuff...there's three aboslute gems there, on par with any singer/songwriter.

You used to be on the MP forum right? I seem to recall you had a podcast where you went in depth into Kip’s catalog (Winger and solo). I think I was one of the few people who interacted with you on that one.

Yes and yes...sadly, the podcast has gone away (due to creative differences I suppose), but my love for all all-things-Winger is eternal!
