Medicine by Tab Benoit. Blues, 2011. Very tasty.
From a Mega Man Legends island jamming power metal to a Walrus listening to black metal, I like your story arc.

My thoughts on the albums I listened to tonight:

Rush - A Farewell to Kings
Pretty solid album overall! I will admit that I found Closer to the Heart, Cinderella Man, and Madrigal to be rather forgettable, but A Farewell to Kings, Xanadu, and Cygnus X-1 Book I: The Voyage really make up for it. I feel as though Rush tends to sound the same a lot (based on the songs I've heard from them thus far) but there are a lot of interesting moments to be found here.

Rush - Hemispheres
These are first impressions, but I'll get a controversial opinion out of the way: Cygnus X-1 Book II: Hemispheres is my least favorite out of the four songs on this album. It's a good song, but it just feels like a normal Rush song, and in comparison to Cygnus X-1 Book I, it felt less interesting. The rest of the album was quite good, though! La Villa Strangiato is my favorite out of the four. So overall, it's a very solid album.

Steven Wilson - The Raven That Refused to Sing (And Other Stories)
What an amazing album! Every single song is fantastic (except The Pin Drop, but I have a feeling it'll grow on me). My favorite track is Luminol, but Drive Home and The Raven That Refused To Sing are right behind it. I definitely see why this album gets so much love, and it deserves all the praise it gets. I will absolutely be listening to this one again and again.

This, in my opinion, is the best post porcupine tree release by a mile.

I'm on a DT rediscovering journey, after not having listened to them thoroughly for a couple of years now.

Last night it was WDADU and I&W. Now it's time for Awake.

I listened once or twice when it came out and didn’tgo back to it. I’ve been on a Y&T kick in the last few days so maybe my ear was tuned to it as I liked it. It’s too long so a couple of the less memorable tracks should have been cut, but it was good. There’s something missing in the production too.

I’ve never listened to the first two comeback albums (musically incorrect and the other one I can’t even remember the name of). Should I bother?

Part of my post-roulette listening, trying to follow up mostly with artists sent in the most recent roulette while sprinkling in some other stuff I'm exploring. Turns out today is all Caravan Palace, courtesy of ariich. I'm almost done with the second album Panic and am digging it. I'm not quite finding anything on first listen that hits me the same way as songs like Dragons and Suzy do on the first record, but it's quite nice regardless and something new and refreshing to listen to.

Shut up, TAC.  :lol

The other one is Endangered Species.

I haven't listened to either in ages. I do have them. I seem to remember liking one and not the other. Off the top of my head, I don't remember which one was which.

But they are definitely worth checking out, especially now since you are on a Y&T kick.
