Nicolas Jaar - Cenizas

My boi Nico has released yet another album this year, this time a very introspective dark ambient, electroacoustic one. Digging it so far.

Listened to a couple songs from that one and didn't really get it. While I wouldn't say it does sound generic, it's not the experimental, futuristic pop that Fantano was raving about.

Really nice albums, reminds me of Trent and Atticus' soundtrack work quite a bit.

Arcade Fire - Neon Bible. Haven’t listened to this in several years since I deleted it from my main listening device. It was a big part of my grad school years and dredges up some really difficult memories. But it is really gone.

this album's like if death metal made a post-metal album and it's really pretty cool. i think the first three tracks are generally more exciting than the rest (the first two are definitely faster-paced than anything that comes after, for one) and it runs a bit long but i've enjoyed this every time i've listened to it so far, gonna be a 2020 purchase once i finally get around to making more 2020 purchases lol

Sisyphos got me super excited for that album but when the album came out it turned out everything coming after it was a major step down.. maybe I’ll try again

i mean i don't disagree that that's one of if not the best tracks just that i like it enough front-to-back even if the back half is weaker  :P
please also note that my taste in anything is always really esoteric and if i like something it's probably not actually good
