Really good mix of clean and harsh vocals.  Bleak :metal

I don’t do growls and I will never be convinced that they have any value at all unless used incredibly sparingly, but this is such a great album. It would be even more incredible without the growls. As it is, I’m likely to only ever listen to it now and again.

Take the growls out and replace them with a proper melody and this album makes my top 50 with ease.

Today”s listening,

ManOwaR - home made best of

Diamond Head - The Coffin Train

David Lee Roth - A Li”l Ain’t Enough

Ok, that explains the surprise of other members that you liked the album.

Speaking of harsh vocals, there is a band I love musically, but cannot hear a word of the lyrics. The  name of the band is Deafheaven and you would hate them. :lol

This is where it starts Paul.  You like something but not the growls, however you enjoy and listen to it.  It goes from there.

Got myself a new car recently and felt like driving around listening to Bon Jovi for some reason. I don't care what anyone says, these are 3 really great albums!

Some of us can hold on to our morals and standards when it comes to vocals.  We're not ALL loose and easy like you and Tim.   ;D

Don't worry Paul, me and Jay will keep you on the straight path.

Not really... there are some growls - when tasteful and appropriate - that I can appreciate.  Nothing (not even a song) that is 100% growls though.  I don't immediately dismiss music with growls, but it does take something special for me to work my way through them in any give song/album.

Today's albums so far

Insomnium - Winter's Gate (played this three times today)

Having trouble putting this one down and it just flows so well and fairly short so it goes by so quickly it feels.  I listened to it another three times already this morning.
