I’ve been on a blues binge this last week

Joe Bonamassa - Muddy Wolf at Red Rocks, Redemption, Blues Of Desperation

Beth Hart/Joe Bonamassa- Black Coffee

Robbed Ford - Handful Of Blues, Mystic Mile, Truth

Eric Gales - Laying Down The Blues

Ronnie Earl - Maxwell Street

 :tup :tup

I was grooving to Stevie Ray Vaughn - The Sky is Crying  yesterday, so I feel ya, Mang.

Blues of Desperation is one of my favorite albums of the past decade. Mountain Climbing is just too, too good!

Agree with that. Bonamassa gets a lot of stick but to me he’s great. That SRV album is great. Next to In Step for his best.

This is really cool. 2019 album.

Like a hard rock/metal version of The Smiths.

Been meaning to check this out - some ex members of a band I introduced in the podcast a year or two back that I quite like (Spellcaster)

Huh, that's interesting. I have Spellcaster Saved on Spotify, so I must have liked what you played.

I wouldn't call this metal though. But it's getting a 2nd spin tonight. Like I said, it's a hard rock version of The Smiths. Kind of a Gothic vocal. I like it. It's unique.
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Kind of a spacey version of Threshold. I bought this earlier this year. A very nice listen.

Agalloch - The Mantle.

This is simply a masterpiece in every way.  One of the best things I've heard in a long long time.

Winter for me starts next week and even though I've never seen snow and it never rarely gets that cold at all haha, I'm gonna spin this on a real cold night when I'm feeling depressed and all hope is gone.  I will purposely get myself in that mood to enjoy this record.

Rendezvous Point - Universal Chaos (released last Friday) - this might  make my top 10 of the year. Baard Kolstad (Leprous) is in this band. Recommended for fans of Leprous, Tesseract among others.

I started listening to this yesterday. I had no idea Baard was in the band though, I feel ashamed for not picking up on that as he's one of my favourite drummers! I'll listen again and focus on the drums a bit more  :lol  the albums not bad.

:metal Digging this as well! Love the rougher parts on songs like Fever Dream and the little unexpected parts as for instance the end of Plead

Been in a Nardcore (local thrash punk movement from the 80's) mood today.

Ill Repute- What Happens Now / What Happened Then

Dr. Know- Killing For God

Wages of Fear- Self Titled

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces
