Green Day - American Idiot

Walking through the store yesterday, saw this from a distance sitting in the top of the $5 bargain bin. Didn't even stop as I walked past the bin and snatched it - for some reason never owned a copy of this but it's the only Green Day album I actually like. Dookie has a few songs I like but overall I don't enjoy it or any other album of theirs. But this? Almost every song rocks. Still holds up all these years later imo.

got real into spiritual migration recently after not being too into aathma two years ago when it dropped (the former just has a lot more personality to it, what can i say)

and this album is... not like either of those, either, it's pretty much a straight prog metal album that has harsh vocals sometimes. and it's basically just one long song... subdivided into three songs... that are each subdivided into 4-5 parts

but no i dug this a lot.

i listened to shin-ken too but that's just such a "meh" album. maybe even weaker than aathma. dunno, i've spun it before and haven't been to into it any time i've tried
