What album are you listening to? v.6

Well, this is kind or eerie/random  I was looking at my albums today, and this (lone) album from Parish somehow caught my eye, and I thought I'd listen to it. Then I come here, and here it is! One of the guitar players from Crimson Glory on it, right? The covert art I have is different from both of the ones above...but is there any difference between the two versions you posted?

No idea. I just found it on YouTube and grabbed the cover from google. The video I watched had the cover on the right, which from reading the comments was a new cover.. I’d never of heard it before. And yes, guitarist from Crimson Glory.

I remembered it being an enjoyable album, and listening to it after a long time confirmed it...definitely echoes of Crimson Glory and a more streamlined Queensryche, but with a bit of class-metal influence. Kind of interesting how, for the most part, it sounds "out of time" for an album that came out in the mid-90s, but then there are a couple of tunes towards the end that almost have a 90s alternative rock sound to them..."Summer", in particular, is quite interesting...sounds like a mix of King's X, Jane's Addiction and, uhm, Candlebox?

Anyway, pretty cool album...fun to revisit...

In addition to the Parish album, another "re-discovery" from the mid-90s: "Perpetual Destiny" by Seventhsign. Some Fates Warning influence here, mostly from vocalist Gregg Analla (RIP). His singing is (was) very similar to Ray Alder's, especially in some songs. Overall, another enjoyable album, with some neat guitar work.

Indeed it is! And I only discovered it because it was mentioned in this forum (a while back, before I started posting). Was it you? It's such a unique album, I think. I haven't seen it discussed much elsewhere, which I find surprising...

Cheap Trick - All Shook Up

NICE!!!  One of my favorite records from one of my favorite bands.  I just got their new one; it's pretty good.

Cheap Trick in general is underrated, but All Shook Up is like the underrated of the underrated 🤣.
