I actually have an old cassette of Peter Gabriel's "So" album - very much the odd one out in my collection. I bought it because EVH said he thought Gabriel was awesome . In the end I didn't hate it but didn't get a huge amount of play.

I agree (no way!). It seems like when he left Genesis he reached puberty and his voice became more tolerable.

In Your Eyes could have been one of the greatest pop songs ever if it was 30 seconds shorter. Why are they singing about a pussycat at the end?

TAC, don't laugh, but listening to Alice Cooper, and the work that Ezrin did on those records really changes how I hear PG's Car and Kiss' Destroyer. There is so much on those two albums that was foreshadowed on things like School's Out and Billion Dollar Babies (Hello Hooray would fit easily on Destroyer, and Great Expectations would go perfectly on B$B). I knew Ezrin had a "sound" but I had no idea it was so... prominent.

I know. Albums like Melt, Security and Up are just loaded with great tunes. No way to include them all.

I am not into Peter Gabriel, but I like Solsbury Hill quite a bit.

I used to like In Your Eyes, actually I would say I loved that song, up until the guy starts singing about pussycats at the end or whatever the hell it is.
