Results from round 7.

Blackened: 1 (5.3%)
...And Justice for All: 13 (68.4%)
One: 5 (26.3%)

...And Justice for All is out! It earns a place in the consolations, while Blackened and One both automatically advance to the finals. Time to crown an album champion. I will withhold my vote and in the event that this ends in a draw, my missing vote will break the tie. You have 24 hours to vote. Good luck and may the best song win!

Blackened is the best track on this record, IMO. Absolutely killer from start to finish.

Blackened is the vote
I use my sig to pimp some bands from Italy! Check out Elvenking (Power / Folk metal), Folkstone (Rock / Medieval metal), Arcana Opera (Gothic/Noir/Heavy metal) and the beautiful voice of Elisa!

Ah, FFS. Went away to do an hour on the turbo trainer, came back, listened to both for the billionth time, decided One is the better track.

And voted for One on autopilot assuming it was vote for your favourite.

ARGH!

It's not as if I haven't voted in these things a million times before :lol

So, yeah. Scratch one vote for One and add it to Blackened. At my time of voting, that would actually have made it 10-10. Ooops.

With Nobloodyname's vote, though, it's 2 more votes against Blackened.

I'm not, I think these two songs are generally held in high regard by the fan base. I figured it would be pretty tight.

I'm speaking more of my personal preference.  For me, One shot its wad (on the cover of Load, perhaps?) a LONG time ago and has become trite.  I have a hard time mustering the patience to listen through the beginning section to get to the second half.  I've also spent a lot of time in the last few years listening to the "enhanced bass" versions of the AJFA songs, and Blackened REALLY benefits from being able to hear the bass.

So you can hear the rhythm guitar part an octave lower as well?

I guess One will win with the vote thing that happened earlier in the thread. But they both go to the finals anyway I think.

Yeah, sorry about the SNAFU, folks. Both really good songs, though.

Looking forward to the super deluxe edition of Justice that's undoubtedly on the way. Wonder if they'll include an official version where the bass is audible?
