JlB - Former Singer?
« on: March 20, 2018, 06:48:13 PM »
James Labrie will play in Brazil next month. In fact, it will play in the city I live in.

The show will be in a place called "Jokers" and in their site it´s written:

"Show with former singer of Dream Theater."

Some jokers, I hope...

Or... do they know something we don´t?  ???

Probably something lost in translation with the promoter.

Well, the original page text says "EX-VOCALISTA DO DREAM THEATER", so that page actually says that.

Silly rumor, but amusing! I want the Russian singer Vitas as replacement, he's got the pitch range.

Bummer.  And I hear James already put out his press release.

JLB+MP solo band.

"This is the real deal, this is my main band. James and I go way back, we always had a special connection. Yes, we plan to have chicken wire between us on stage, but that's for aesthetic reasons."

From a Mega Man Legends island jamming power metal to a Walrus listening to black metal, I like your story arc.

It seems to have been fixed.  It now refers to him as the "ATUAL VOCALISTA DO DREAM THEATER" (which Google Translate tells me means "current vocalist of Dream Theater").

They've gone back to Chris Collins.

That's just a false rumor.  It's actually Charlie Dominici.

Nah, Petrucci has decided to handle lead vocal duties. He will lip sync to heavily pitch corrected tracks. Also, every song will be Wither and Spirit Carries On
Jordan took Moore's boring, pedestrian parts and elevated them considerably to take them from barely palatable to stellar.

Steve Stone returns for the next album, they’ll record it in Long Beach.
It sounds like, "ruk, ruk, ruk, ruk, ruk." Instead of the more pleasing kick drum sound of, "gzarruk, gzarruk, gzarruk, gzarruk."

Actually Petrucci just set the record straight and they will record it in Bayshore.  Stone has given at least 3 interviews since then and maintains it will be recorded in Long Beach.
