I learned long ago that there is no rhyme or reason to these and that is half - no, three quarters - of the fun.  And there's no veiled comment in there; I apply that to myself as well.   When I was listening to stuff, things just... clicked or they didn't.   I felt really bad slagging off stuff that was really popular here, but it either clicked or it didn't, and there's really no point in "but [XYZ] is their best album!!!"
