Children of the Grav
Into the Void
Sabbra Cadabra

I use my sig to pimp some bands from Italy! Check out Elvenking (Power / Folk metal), Folkstone (Rock / Medieval metal), Arcana Opera (Gothic/Noir/Heavy metal) and the beautiful voice of Elisa!

I like how Kev spaces these threads out. Hopefully this isn't the beginning of a flooding trend.

Every single one (though, I must admit, I am not enamored with the title track to the first album).

I did pick:
- After Forever
- Supernaut
- Spiral Architect
- Megalomania
- The Writ

Just to highlight some lesser known songs (Spiral Architect is my favorite Sabbath song ever).  I made it my goal to learn the first three Sabbath albums and the first three Kiss albums in their entirety on guitar.  I'm probably 60% of my way through, maybe more (I can play most of it; the trick is remembering it, and integrating multiple parts to make them sound decent on one guitar).

Black Sabbath
N.I.B.
Electric Funeral (also seconding the notion that Iced Earth did it better)
Spiral Architect
Symptom of the Universe
From a Mega Man Legends island jamming power metal to a Walrus listening to black metal, I like your story arc.

One of the best Sabbath's songs, which is not on the pool and is often forgotten, is Warning. Pure bluesy geniality.

The glaring omissions are interesting given the inclusion of a couple songs on the list.  Anyway, I went with:

Black Sabbath
The Wizard
Faeries
Children of the Grave
Into the Void
Supernaut
Symptom of the Universe

Leaving off Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is a major fail. I'd say the same thing about The Thrill of it All, but only a handful of us would have voted for it. SBS, though?

Wheels (mostly because of The Straightener)
Killing Yourself
National Acrobat
Spiral Architect
Megalomania
Writ

Obviously I have a partiality to the latter Ozzy albums, SBS and Sabotage. I might have considered Junior's Eyes, as well, had it been available (though I doubt it would have made the cut).

All of those songs are great. I found it difficult to narrow the list to 7. Glad the OP left out "Paranoid" and "Iron Man" because those may be their most popular and would have maybe been the top 2 of the 7 in vote getting.

As I think about the Ozzy era Sabbath catalog, I keep going back to Masters of Reality and Vol. 4 as a favorites.

Don't get me started...  I actually LOVE Technical Ecstacy and NSD; without question I like the latter four records better than the first four.   "Shock Wave"; "Over To You"; "Gypsy"...   Geezer Butler was on fire on those records.

Sabbath Bloody Sabbath is my #1 song from them.

Voted for :

Megalomania
Into the Void
Spiral Architect
The Writ
Supernaut

My other three votes would go to:

Junior's Eyes
The Thrill Of It All
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
would have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D
TAC got a higher score than me in the electronic round? Honestly, can I just drop out now? :lol

Pretty damn well (though I really hate Supernaut). Into the Void certainly merits consideration. Helluva song. The thing is it loses a point because Soundgarden might have actually done it better.

The Halford led Sabbath version of Into The Void at the Costa Mesa '92 show is awesome.

What sold me on Supernaut was seeing Anthrax play it live and John Bush f'n nailed it.

Trust me, that's not something I'm going to forget to ask.  :)

Just curious, what don't you like about Supernaut?  That percussion part?

I actualy like the Halford set; I thought that was very very cool.  If you watch the video though, it's funny watching Iommi give Halford the cues when to sing; at one point he has to walk up, grab Rob by the sleeve and  pull him back because he starts one of the verses (I forget what song) WAAYYY early.  :)

I wish they'd release that stuff. I think it's really  a cool part of rock history (them both being from Birmingham and all...)
