Honestly no clue how punk landed in my top genres, I almost never listen to punk. Spotify genre labels are weird man..

I got Punk too, never listen to it. I guess early XTC and The Jam are tagged as Punk.

Well I admit listening to Dead Kennedys. I think there's some post-punk/goth music that might count for me.

SPOTIFY WRAPPED 2023?

1st time I've done this, although while I kind of like the montage, I don't think it's fully indicative of "my year of listening to music."
However, having Bryan Scary #1 for the year does make sense as there wasn't another artist I listened to more in 2023.

I don’t use Spotify for my regular listening. What I will do is while I’m at work open up an artist’s catalog and just set it to shuffle and let it play all day. Just to get them a little extra streaming income if possible. Anyway, here’s my top 5:

Spotify is far from my primary source of listening, I primarily use it for roulettes and making playlists to share, or listening to ones other people have created.  Which yields strange results, like...

:rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin :rollin

Merry Christmas Luke!   :hat   The listen count has to be quite low, because that's primarily from listening to a chunk of his playlist for them and a few scattered songs from other roulette playlists.

Here's mine. It's a little skewed as I don't do all my listening via Spotify, and still use my iPod. Also my #2&3 songs are Disney songs I play for my kid  :heart

@Litho, check my 2017 Wrapped on the first page. Katatonia is my most listened to artist! Clearly got them out of my system that year :lol

No fucking way!    Did it swap our accounts or something?  Although the other 4 artists and 5 songs are fine.

Not enough J-metal in that one bud...I'll change that come your roulette.

OK here's my real one... keep in mind I do a great deal of listening from my library, that's where my classic rock and prog live (Marillion, IQ, etc). Also keep in mind probably half of my BAND MAID listening was from there acoustic album, which is only in my library, so they still would've dominated my time. They're just so accessible and easy going for every day listening for me.

I just checked my Last.fm for 2017 and Katatonia were only my 63rd most listened to artist that year, with 76 scrobbles. No idea how they made it as my most listened on Spotify. I can see from the Top Songs that my listening was mainly tied to my first roulette.

Also, with you having King Gizzard at the top of your chart, Murder of the Universe will do that to you :lol

My top listened-to artist was BABYMETAL this year. :lol

I was listening to them a bunch because I was gonna see them live and wasn't familiar with much of their stuff. Also they've got some fun songs.

Much of their music doesn't work for me, but "Babymetal Death" is an incredible song.

The song with the least amount of anime girl vocals - makes sense. :P

I'm sure they were in the 10-15 range for me, they got some good spin time when their album came out, and Monochrome, especially the piano only version, has seen some serious spins as a favorite of mine this year.

Pardon the interruption, but I just had to run in and celebrate the majesty of Lube in the Face as highest moment in roulette history

Apple Music user here. There are dozens of us. Not gonna start another thread just for that though.

No surprise at the Top Artist.
Top Album is BS. Sure I listened to it a few times, but the most listened album? No way.
Top Song...sure? I guess? I like it a lot but idk if it's my #1 of the year.

Kinda surprised, don't remember listening to some of those that much but also, I listen to albums mostly and rarely repeat songs. My top 100 is basically newly released albums + bands I discovered through my roulette ;D
...the years just pass like trains

Yea, working from home makes this a lot easier! I moved towards using Spotify a lot more this year, but I'll be interested to see my Last.fm end of year report as that will also include all my iPod and vinyl listening.

A little surprised to see DT so high, it didn't feel like I listened to them a lot this year. I wish spotify had some sort of incognito mode, I meditate to music on Spotify so Atomos is always my number 1 :lol

My most played song was Lilian by Insomnium. Listened to it apparently 49 times and that was probably during a two week period.  :lol Such a great album.

Here's my top 5 artists.  Apparently, I've listened to a lot of Thornley (Ian Thornley's solo band when Big Wreck was on hold around the 00s) than I thought this year.

does anyone know if there's a way to see your SLIDESHOW from previous years?

I found my 2022 WRAPPED PLAYLIST, but I only am able to watch the Slideshow from 2023.

I don't think it's possible, the wrapped stuff I believe only lasts during the end of the year.
