I did hear about it but not that it was exclusively power metal, I just thought something with a cheese factor in general. So I sent alternative metal / metalcore

The original suggestion was prog-, power- and death-metal, so there should be a decent mix.

Basically, this felt like a good way to try and introduce Sacul to some good music (some of which he might even dig) in genres he's not normally keen on, without the risk of being the only person to do so in any given round. We agreed to keep it secret just for a bit of fun, but though it might have been hilarious to send the cheesiest, over-the-top power metal we could (I considered sending a 19-minute Rhapsody song ), we also agreed that would ultimately just be rubbish for Sacul if he hates that stuff.

I sent some great prog metal (as the theme was indeed power, prog and death) which I love, but I'm sure Sacul is going to hate it. Especially the lyrics and the chorus.

Well seems everybody but one player ended up sending from those genres in some way . Sent him a PM in case he wants to change his song to fit the round, lucky I haven't started listening yet.
