Yeah, on my 2nd listen and I think I'm gonna start freeing some people tonight, a couple pretty easy decisions. I think I'll have a loser by the 30th so y'all can start thinking about your next submissions over a nice new year's eve party

DEATH

First off, a song I know for sure won't be the round winner but at the same time know for sure will rank top half of the round without doubt. Rhythmically very interesting, good guitarwork with enjoyably odd paterns. 'Strong' isn't the word I would use to describe the vocals - they're good and they fit the music and at times are even pretty damn catchy - but I don't think the singer is the strongest point of the band. From what I remember from seeing these guys live they sounded more akin to Plini and/or modern Intervals, but this is a bit more heavy and I dig it. Maybe could have benefited from some minor trimming, but I liked the song plenty, definitely good enough to pass.

Talking of course about lonestar with Unbroken Shiver by Disperse.

Just take some inspiration from Scar's roulette, there's tons of songs submitted there that I don't know, and they're all really good because they probably got 10/10 ratings

Just checked out the Disperse. Apparently I checked out their latest album at some point because while I couldn't remember anything about it, I definitely recognized the album cover.

I remember being late for a round and I sent him a 10+ minute song after he PM’d me for being late. 7 minutes later he posted the results for the whole round. I’m pretty sure I got a 10/10
