Along a similar vein, there's a vocal coach who does reactions to all different kinds of music and somebody got her to do UAGM from Live in Tokyo '93

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L42Wwpt1SQ4

Yeah, I like her reactions in general.  She is overly positive about EVERYTHING, but she has some good insights into the vocal mechanics side of things.  But for that side of it, while Beth's are entertaining, I find RVA's and VoiceHacks' reactions to be MUCH more educational and insightful, especially the latter.

I was actually kind of surprised Beth had such glowing comments about that particular performance by James because he isn't particularly on for that one.  There was an awful lot of cracking, straining, and other less than good habits on display.

Lost In Vegas just tweeted today that they will be at the DT show LA tonight.

I hope they film their reactions to the entire concert. :)
Obviously they wont, but I'd love to see the recap.

Their insight and opinion(s) on PMU would fit perfectly into the debate of 'why' it's been chosen as the encore song. They sum it up pretty friggin' good.

I agree. I would've also liked to hear their thoughts on the show itself, and how they thought the live version of Pull Me Under compared with the studio version. At one point one of them (I forget if it was George or Ryan) say that they sounded just like the record, and having heard PMU live myself on the IW&B tour, I thought James butchered it (I think they should really put most of those old songs away, though), so that comment made my ears perk up.

Yes they do. But we need something to complain about. :)

What bugs me as a DT fan is that PMU was 'selected' by users who are their paetrons as the song to represent DT in this 'prog rock tournament' they are doing. going against OPETH 'Blackwater Park'. That wouldn't be the song I'd have represent DT at all to showcase their talent. It'd have been The Glass Prison, Illumination Theory, Octavarium....In the Name of God.....so many to choose from that better represents them in that type fo format.

And...as a side note.....I still don't get the fuss over OPETH. Much like HAKEN doesn't click with a lot of DT fans on this board.....OPETH is a complete miss for me.
