It's not every year you get to see your favorite two bands 3 times each including the final shows of their tours. (The other being Iron Maiden). I'm a grateful cramx3 this morning.

I'll see what I can do. Read security is lax at this venue so should be able to. Bringing my new camera to test it out in a concert setting.  I've got a lot of footage from the first two shows so I'll be making a nice long dt images and words and beyond YouTube video sometime next week.

I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

No corruption, maybe if I had met him in the parking garage, but instead we chilled during intermission surrounded by some really good looking Texas ladies.

Romantic?  Go to the Griswold Inn in Essex.  Been in operation since 1776 (yes, you read that correctly) and their tavern is often mentioned in "best bars for each state" things.   It's got a nice fireplace and is very warm and cozy.  You will miss it, but in February, the restaurant does a "game menu" and it's pretty special (if eclectic).   

The Black Seal - just up the road - used to be very good.   When I was married the first time and spending a lot of time down by the shore, that was a go-to place.  Sorry, but Norwich itself is kind of a dump, and everything around it is pretty nice.  If you have some names and want to run them by me, PM me.  You also have the two casinos there (Foxwoods and Mohegan).  Not very romantic or New England-y, but they are always packed for a reason.
