Good Afternoon.  I'm not dead :lol

yet
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Good afternoon guys. Almost done with another Monday at work. Can’t wait to go home, have some dinner, have a drink and relax.

Crap ton of snow today.  My two primary client contacts were in transit today, so it's been nicely slow-as-shit.

We surprisingly haven’t had much snow this year. Which is a shame because I like it when it snows.

102F for the next 3 days here, and that's not even close to the worst we've had recently. :sadpanda:

Snow for us tonight. Not sure how much.

Us too; it seems like they keep adjusting down; I'm right on the line of "2"-5"" and "0"-2"".   I frankly WANT snow (to me, there is nothing better than being inside, fire going, watching the snow come down) but it's not panning out so far here in CT.

I like just enough snow to work from home, but not enough to have to bust out the snowblower.

Yup, the perfect amount.  We got a couple of those last year, so far this year has been fairly calm for me.  Just no snow Friday night please.

HAHA, mine is new, so I want to use it!

You'll love this, though, Brian:  we got about five inches back in December.  So for shits and giggles I fired it up to give 'er a test run, and went out my garage door, turned it left and started blowing.  I LITERALLY (I measured it as a joke for my wife) went four feet, hit the rubber mat that is in front of the front step, jammed up the snowblower and spent the next hour or so cutting the mat out of the rotors.  I didn't ruin the snowblower, though I do need a new mat (and I am still finding pieces of the mat in the grass of the front yard).

Fucking idiot.

Here's where I'd normally bitch about being cold...

but I'll shut up :lmao

Good morning all! In an hour I get to meet with a new board member on the HOA I work for and take her on a 3 hour tour of the property, to try to help her grasp the scope of our work and how long it takes to really traverse the property. 50 square acres. 500 residences. It's huge.

My nose is going to be nice and brown once I am done.

Another milestone.  Wait until they're both 'out' of the house. THAT'S a shock to the system.

Happy bday to little TAC.

Happy Birthday little TAC

So this week has been intense and just found out and booked a trip to denver monday morning which I am not happy about given I'll have only 48 hours home before a 10 day trip of even more work.  Bright side is a shit ton of OT so... I don't mind spending a few bucks and that's what I am doing tonight.

Got myself a ticket on stubhub for Elton John at Staples Center, sold out and snagged a suite seat for $160 after fees, can't find a seat under $200 before fees to see him back home so I feel like I got a good deal even though my view is a bit too one sided.  I'm excited to have a night out before getting back to the work and then having to hit it even harder next week.

Likewise.  I'm siting on my couch on a tcon, coffee in hand and cat on lap.  And occasionally checking to make sure that our frozen pipes aren't doing anything untoward.

I take sleeping pills. I was out for most of it, what I was up for was listening to music in peace without distraction.  5 hours is just long enough on a flight to where I'm about to start getting real fidgety though. Almost home now. Damn cold.

Much needed coffee, and working on editting my Elton John footage, awesome stuff.  As much as doing shit like that totally wears me out on a business trip, it's so far always been worth it.  YOLO

Definitely, just finished my full video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dH3eyTMcHi8 what's funny is I can actually see him on Friday in Denver  :lol I'm not jumping on it since it's more expensive but I would be lying if I said the thought didn't cross my mind.  The reality is that this next work trip is going to be twice as difficult so I may not even have a chance to get a free night.  Got to take advantage of things when I can, last week for the price I paid and the timing, worked perfectly.
