I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

Last year I cut way down on coffee (went from 4 or 5 cups a day to 1), cut back on beer, and cut out soda completely. Just by doing that, I definitely dropped some weight. I didn't have much to drop, but if I had to guess I'd say I probably lost 5-10 pounds or so. It was a noticeable difference by just changing what I drank.

I'm trying to cut my coffee intake down, I'm down from 4 cups a day to 2. I'd ideally like to be at 1.

What's happening dudes?

I bring a travel mug to work with me. If I get home in the afternoon, I'll brew a pot (3 cups). We recently switched to half caff.

Protip... never eat sushi on Mondays (not that this applies to you in this case Kay).  Most places don't get fish delivered on Sunday.

On cup #1 atm.  Dogs slept in TWO days in a row - 7:15 yesterday, and 7:40 today.  I got a solid 9 hours yesterday, and 8 last night.  Couple of the best sleeps I've had in months.

Two house showings later this afternoon.  Hoping to have this fucker sold before we move out.

Is it safe to assume that the singles we're hearing off the new albums would also be in the live shows this spring?

I used to NEVER drink coffee past noon.   Two, sometimes three, cups in the morning, and that's it.    I've taken to having a cup - sometimes just a half-cup - at night after the kids go to bed, and after a couple weeks/months of some outright shitty sleep, I just broke down and got a small container of decaf.    Tried it last night and slept, well, not like a baby, but better than I have in a while.

Modern chemistry, I guess.  :)

On my second cup now, listening to some very good music provided by my friends at DTF while I catch up on emails at work.

Never got into the habit of drinking coffee. I like coffee flavored things, but not coffee itself.

Watching the live feed of the Tappanzee bridge demolition, I love explosions so this should be cool to watch.

Yea, this is annoying.  When I saw the Stardust Casino implosion in Vegas they had a big firework show with a countdown before it blew up, I would love to see that here but I don't expect that.  There are some cranes still on the bridge which will be interesting to watch fall down into the river  :lol

Wow. My family drove over that bridge for about 35 trips to Florida as my kids were growing up. It's been a couple of years and I remember seeing them staging the cranes in the water for what would be the new bridge. I must say that I'm touched watching the demolition. Those trips brought so much joy to my family. Heading down, I was always conscious of how long it took us to get to the Tappan Zee. Heading back, crossing it meant we were back in New England.

That bridge had no personal meaning for me, sure I drove across it but it had no memories or anything tied to it, but there's a few bridges (Driscoll Bridge in NJ) that have some meaning in my life so I could see how that would affect me if they tore it down.  An end of an era.

What sucked those is they blew that part up this morning and gave no warning so many people who were there to witness it totally missed it  :lol

I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down'. - Bob Newhart
