Sadly no Tree House this year. The original plan was just a same day TH trip with my cousin, but he had to bail, so I jumped in with two of my friends who are in Hill's Collected Works society and going up for pickups this weekend. Current itinerary is to leave Friday morning and hit the new Lawson's spot, Mad River Tacos for lunch, then Hill, then back to Waterbury for the night. Then Saturday we hit Hill, Parker Pie, Alchemist, Von Trapp, Doc's, and back to Waterbury. Should be a great weekend.

What the hell is up with people not showing up for interviews? Cleared essentially the whole middle of my day because I had someone scheduled to interview this morning. Never came in. No call. No email. Nothing.

ANOTHER NO SHOW. That's 2 in 2 days.

Apparently the interviewee yesterday called after I had left on Tuesday, was very rude to one of my employees, asking if driving was involved with the job. After being told that the minimum would be driving a golf cart, he said "I'm not allowed to drive, I can't do job" and hung up. My employee didn't mention to to me because she didn't realize this was the same person I had scheduled, and I didn't see her again until this morning.

Happy Weekend. I'm practically on vacation now. About 30% of my job is responding to BS internal requests from my boss, and he's on vacation in Australia until Jan 8th. Oh happy month! Plus, it's quarter-end, and my role doesn't have a lot of focus on closing deal - since most of our leadership has their eye on that ball, I ain't getting pestered by them for anything. Lastly, my customer pretty much shuts down before/during/after the Christmas period, so no body from that side is bugging me for anything. Basically, I have nothing to do. I did about 2 hrs worth of work yesterday, and it's looking about the same on Monday. Then, off until Jan 2nd.

Gonna go see Spider-verse today, and have about 4 other movies on the docket with jingle.son (who's home from college for 3 weeks now); jingle.daughter gets home on Thursday after her last exam.

That's cool. I used to love going to the movies. But The Lovely Mrs TAC absolutely hates it! She loves Queen, so she said she wants to see that one.
The new Clint Eastwood movie looks awesome.

I just burned a week's worth of vacation time this past week. It's a use it or lose it kind of thing. Back to work Monday.
