The snow that came yesterday morning has now vanished with the rain.

I just finished decorating the tree (and that's not a euphemism).

Bundle up thats rough man hope it can get fixed soon.

Just boarded my flight to LA, surprisingly there was no one standing by the entrance waiting to board. I dont think I've seen a flight where people didnt rush to board. It's also not full so that may be a reason, theres an empty middle seat next to me. I am so happy.

I got a bunch of music last night, the new AFI ep, the Greta Van Fleet album, I finally got Siamise Dream from Smashing Pumpkins, and also picked up their new album. All bands playing tonight so I've got a nice 6 hour flight to listen to all this now  :metal

I had that happen yesterday, and noticed that the thermostat had a message "reset" on it. I got in the crawl-space, flipped the power off to the furnace, paused 30 seconds, flipped the power back on and viola. Furnace works.

I hope yours is as easy to remedy.

I'd like to ask you TAC, where is that picture from? If my memory is correct, Dream Theater did support Iron Maiden on American leg(s) of the Fear of the Dark tour.

Nice work as usual, Zydar.

Yeah I checked it now myself. You sure were lucky to catch them then, arguably at their best. I'm envious.

Although Corrosion of Conformity was opening for them for most of the American leg, that wouldn't have been half bad either.

Unfortunately, it was an abbreviated US tour. they never did make it back to the Northeast.

I saw COC open for Metallica on the Load tour.

What happened?

Our heat has gone out for the past few years. We have a brand new house that we built and the apparently the builders didn't insulate any of the lines so they'd freeze. It was only after threat of lawsuit did they finally fix it.

Hey folks!
I caught CNN's documentary The Nineties by chance tonight as someone at work was watching it here, it actually caught me off guard, I realized I know and remember every song and pop culture phenomena from the 90's and that I was highly engaged with the vast majority of it back then, unlike what my memory has been telling me, odd thing..
Now another documentary, The 2000's, is on and I realize that I still think of the early 2000's as "ten years ago" and it's totally not heh

It's a whole series that they put on (for each decade from the '60s to the '00s), with 7 different episodes/themes for each.  I've seen a lot of them, and they are quite interesting.

Howdy all.

Taking it easy on the couch today after a marathon holiday party that my buddy throws every year. Got to his house and had my first beer at 10:15am and got in my Uber to come home a little after midnight. Much fun and merriment was had/made.

I'm half dead myself after getting home late this afternoon from LA, the whole day in LA just feels like a daze now, but goddamn was that an intense trip.  Such a fun time, I'd totally go back to one of these shows again.

Good Morning peeps
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces

I'm going to be an uncle any day now, my little sister is expecting her first baby. She's due tomorrow (12th).

I first became an uncle 22 years ago, but it's always exciting when it happens.

I first became an uncle 22 years ago, but it's always exciting when it happens.

Congrats!

My brother married late in life and has a 6 year old boy and it's a joy seeing him grow at my age. So smart for a 6 year old.

My little sister has two irish twin girl babies (11 months apart and the oldest is 16 months).  Crazy how much life changes and the family grows.  Going to be cool watching my neices grow up especially since I'm not sure I plan on having children.

Good morning, this year we are doing no gifts except something for my brother and my parents, my gf's parents and her sister. It's a huge weight off my shoulders.

Yea actually same thing here.  Speaking of my sister and nieces, since my sister and her husband kind of struggle for money with the two babies plus my parents expenses for coming up from JAX for the holidays, we've all pretty much agreed as a family that gifts this year will just be for the nieces and none of the siblings or parents will exchange gifts.  Sounds good to me.
