Reminds me of something Podaar said earlier..

Morning guys. Today might be the first day I can eat real food. I got 4 teeth pulled on the right side of my mouth Tuesday and I've been drinking smoothies since.

Well I sure looked like a big idiot at work today.  I can't remember the last time I felt so embarrassed.  I made not one or two, but about 4 or 5 mistakes on a project and it got ripped apart by network engineering as it should have been.  Not sure how I messed up so badly, but I can pinpoint the moment when I told my boss I was overwhelmed right before he dropped this project on me but then said he'd come out and give me a hand to get it done.  Well he came out that day and didn't do a single thing to help me, I struggled on my own and thought i completed it correctly.  But today things weren't working and when network engineering investigated they found a lot of my mistakes, which I owned up to, and all is fine, no repercussions, this was just testing work on new equipment so there's no real impact here just a real big hit to my reputation I guess of doing fantastic work. 

Anyway, as if today couldn't get any worse, it's raining so bad here and I'm supposed to go to the Giants game tonight, this is going to be miserable and I fully expect the Giants to get their ass handed to them as well to end this crappy day.  Luckily there will be lots of booze and I can really use a drink.

Well I have two things going against me, I was born a few months after Chernobyl and apparently I'm part neanderthal but I have a bunch of extra teeth. Basically the Dentist told me there there is a genetic thing for people from my part of europe where not only did my wisdom teeth grow, but I also have extra teeth on top of that. I had 1 wisdom tooth and and 2 extra on my top right, and 1 extra on my bottom right. It's not really noticeable but I had to remove them because they were shift and weakening all my other teeth.

That sucks cram. I've put myself in those situations where I've taken on (or have been given) a lot of work and I start making a lot of simple mistakes. It's good you owned up to it and didn't try to throw any one under the bus. That goes a lot further. I wouldn't worry too much about your reputation, mistakes happen, you'll learn and grow from it.

Yea, I'm over it today.  Shit is working and the mistakes are in the past.  I'm expecting a fairly light Friday.  Our team went to the terrible Giants game last night and my boss is celebrating his anniversary with his wife so I expect a low output type of day.  I'm just looking forward to getting home for gaming night with the guys for the new Call of Duty.  Finished downloading and I fired it up before I came to work just to make sure it works.

Getting to see my nephew play hockey tomorrow at 9am them that night hang over a buddy from High School with a few other friends as well.

Sunday it's food shopping and mowing the lawn/leaves.  They are starting to fall.

I actually might need to be up a bit early tomorrow.  Directv is scheduled from 8am to noon to install my new TV service.  After pondering about cutting the cord for awhile and paying more to be off contract with Verizon, I have finally come to a solution.  Thanks to my new employer, I get a very steep discount.  So I will now be paying $10 a month for 4 boxes, DVR, HBO, Sunday NFL ticket, and 250 something channels.  Can't beat that price and apparently I get VIP installation (whatever that means).  Nice to now be working for my new overlords I guess.  Then once that is working I will cancel my Verizon TV and just keep the internet.
