I'm not the biggest Beardfish fan as I only know their last three albums. Mammoth wasn't my thing at all, The Void was okay and +4626-COMFORTZONE is awesome. Looking around DTF, I think I might be the biggest fan of their latest almost perfect for me (maybe even 2015 AOTY which was great year)

I think Mammoth is kinda alright, except it just veers too much towards being strange and prog for the sake of it. I can't believe I haven't checked out Comfortzone still. I should do it.

I personally found comfortzone to be quite forgettable, but then again I only listened to that album in a time when I wasn’t overly interested in prog music anymore.

Orcus- Holy fucking shit what a killer track. That slow sexy buildup was just relentless, every time I thought it plateaued, they took it up another notch. Just a well written and executed tune all around, I'll be sure to note them for future listening.

The rest of you will be up for elimination, there will be only one cut I promise. I've decided the random cut will happen in the latter rounds for sure. Expect the cut Monday night. All three of the remaining tracks are good, and are on even par with each other, but someone has to go. This is gonna be a tough frikkin choice guys...

Nice! Glad you enjoyed it. Their music can definitely get chaotic but the musicianship is top notch. That song is from Ire Works which I love and another album I'd recommend is One Of Us Is The Killer in terms of getting into their style.

Just to clarify, the win gets me immunity for the next round, correct? I know it's gloves off for the remaining rounds after 4.

Ok, cut time guys...

So all three songs were quite different. Elite, your song was good, it just for some reason didn't click with me. The Beardfish song, again was good, but it was fairly standard prog fare of which I've heard more than a lifetime's share of, nothing really jumped out at me. Mother's Cake was a decent track, but the vocals were just against my grain and stylistically it was a bit out of what I dig.

I think in the end, it was the vocals of the Mother's Cake track that did it for me. Tyrias, I'm sorry, but pack your bags bro...you're going home...

I put ranking numbers on these so TAC will be happy. Start sending songs kids...
