I'll tell you, it was even spookier for me.  Tuesday night, I was checking with RJ on a few Canadian bands.  I'd decided on The Hip - and this song - but didn't send my note to him with the 'story' until Wednesday morning.  I was going to finish it off by stating that Gord was still fighting the cancer, and decided to do a quick Google to see exactly how he was doing.  The news had broke only 2 hours before I typed the email.  I was holding back tears most of the day - unsuccessfully at times.  The outpouring of tributes and emotion around the country was beyond words.

So yeah... disturbingly eerie.

Ok, let's do some housekeeping...

Gave the tracks a few spins today, and now I have two fighting for the top spot, and three fighting for the cut, so let's let some of the middlemen off the hook...

TAC- Iris Divine was some good shit, a band I'll surely be checking out more of. In most other rounds this one could've had winner potential, but the top songs were very strong for me. Very strong. No matter, you sent an excellent track, and I thank you. Go get a beer and relax my friend...

Elite- You had immunity anyways, but the Voyager track you sent would have been enough to keep you in the game no matter. Voyager is a band I've sampled a few times but never dug into them, I think there's something off putting about the singer's vocal style for me, but the music and the track in particular are more than enough to overcome that. Enjoy the down time, and get ready to be vulnerable again next round...

I think that's enough for now, gotta get some more listens in before I go further. And with the top songs, they're so close, I may give a bonus for the second place song, the two are so close, and both were right into my wheelhouse, just killer fucking tracks.
