https://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/rock-hall-of-fame-radiohead-rage-bon-jovi-lead-nominees-w507052

Bon Jovi
Kate Bush
The Cars
Depeche Mode
Dire Straits
Eurythmics
J. Geils Band
Judas Priest
LL Cool J
MC5
The Meters
Moody Blues
Radiohead
Rage Against the Machine
Rufus featuring Chaka Khan
Nina Simone
Sister Rosetta Tharpe
Link Wray
The Zombies

love to see The Moodies and Priest get in.

Dire Straits, Kate Bush among some others

Radiohead is likely a lock, and Bon Jovi may just be too popular to not get in (see Journey from last year).

Yeah WTF, LL Cool J?!  Is that for his music or his work on NCIS?
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

If Priest and Bon Jovi don't get in this year I'll be shocked. LL Cool J will make it too.

I just want to congratulate Radiohead on their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Now I'm not really a metal fan, but I am surprised at how few metal bands are in the RRHoF. I thought prog had it bad there until recently. But where's Motorhead? Maiden? Dream Theater?

Maiden should have been in a long time ago. That being said, I wonder if they'd even show up for the ceremony if they were inducted. I could easily see them telling the hall to shove it up their ass' if they were.

Dire Straights, LL Cool J, and Radiohead are locks. Priest stands no chance whatsoever. My hunch is that Bon Jovi, Rage, and either the Meters or The Zombies round out the inductees. Perhaps The Cars.

And as always, who gives a shit what those people think.

Just once I'd like to see a band like Priest spend their entire 15 minutes reading RS's reviews of their albums. Priest never got more than 1* out of RS until Defenders.

I have this dream about getting up there and saying something like "Thank you, this is an honor.   No, seriously, you induct me and Green day, but Keith Emerson, Greg Lake, Robert Fripp, Steve Harris, Ronnie Dio, Bruce Fucking Dickinson, Ric Ocasek, Dave Murray, Phil Collins, Duran Duran, and Chris Cornell are not allowed in?  You should be ashamed of yourselves for how little you know about music."

Well, at least I now have a list of bands I can use in Stadler's roulette.
That's a word salad - and take it from me, I know word salad
I fear for the day when something happens on the right that is SO nuts that even Stadler says "That's crazy".

that's kind of what Metallica and Hall and Oates did for Deep Purple and Todd Rundgren.

Purple is now finally in (long after the passing of Jon Lord pathetically), but Rundgren?
