Didn't I just say that (and a bit more)?
I didn't know I could handle another 10 inches and it was rough but in the end I'm glad I did it.

What a fucking terrible song.  Fuckin' hell.  Maybe my tastes have just changed but as Chad said, his first album inspired this thread and is a brilliant slab or AOR/melodic rock.  This makes me want to puke.  A guy with a voice like this shouldn't be singing average crap like this.

The Spirits of Fire single is solid. Definitely Sounds like a Roy Z production, It also has more of a Judas Priest vibe than some of the stuff Ripper actually did with priest.

Sorry, missed it. I’m not having a good strike rate today.

and shite video (shock horror)   :)

The only thing making that even remotely listenable is the power of his voice.  He certainly doesn't have a voice for metal but that debut album of his struck the right balance.

Exactly, it was a perfect mix of AOR, melodic rock and hard rock.

That Spirits of Fire song was pretty meh. Ripper hasn't done anything worth a damn since Iced Earth.

As much as I am a Ripper fan, this is true, unfortunately.

Come on, that's not true. He's made some great guest appearances, and as I said, his time in Iced Earth was great.

We’re hanging a legend on some guest appearances? I can honestly say I haven’t liked anything I’ve heard by him, though I haven’t listened to the Iced Earth.

I do enjoy his stuff with Charred Walls of the Damned and the albums he did with Malmsteen

I actually, I retract my statement, as I obviously didn't put any thought into it.  The first Charred Walls is excellent and Perpetual Flame likewise.
