The Deuce tells the story of the legalization and ensuing rise of the porn industry in New York beginning in the 1970s. Themes explored include the violence of the drug epidemic and the resulting real estate booms and busts that coincided with the change. The show's title is derived from the nickname for 42nd Street between Seventh Avenue and Eighth Avenue.
From a Mega Man Legends island jamming power metal to a Walrus listening to black metal, I like your story arc.
I don't know if I can support anything that Maggie Gyllenhaal is in, I hear she doesn't put her shopping cart back in the corral.

It's not my favorite and the characters are kind of 'eh' but there's something about it that kept pulling me in every Sunday. The creators said they weren't trying to force a character to be a 'good' person, that these people are flawed every bit as the people watching the show and that's how they'll develop, as real people with (usually) a skewed moral compass, and also showing the dangers of 1970s New York in the business of prostitution and porn. Feels gritty.
