We are watching 'The Nevers' and 'The Expanse'. Just about done with Season 2 of 'The Expanse'. Awesome show. Only 2 episodes into 'The Nevers' and enjoying it. Does feel like an 18th century x-men and I'll be curious to see how it goes with Josh Whedon getting canned.

The Expanse is awesome. It never takes its foot off the gas and just keeps getting better.

I’m enjoying The Nevers but can totally see how folks could give up on it.

Love Death + Robots S02 is so epic although kinda short, wonder if there's more episodes coming?

Ehh. I disagree big time. First seasons episodes were way more interesting and compelling. S2 was short and boring IMO. Couple episodes had some cool graphics but the overall content was a big step down from S1

Well if this is all the episodes then that's definitely a let down. I enjoyed it alot but yea I agree it's not the same quality as S01.

Really getting tired of normal, network TV.  It's either reality, a game show (and the new game show tropes are excruciating) or, if it's scripted TV, the messaging is distracting at this point.

I'm thinking of starting WestWorld.   I tried to talk the fam into watching The Sopranos with me, but no dice so far.

As I mentioned in the other Netflix thread, there's apparently another set of episodes dropping this year and it's oddly going to be called vol.3 but all indication is that it's part of this season.

Get ready for a lot of dong, hair (from everywhere) and nips galore.

And oh yeah the first season is the best among them all, 2nd is great too but over convoluted (it's a good thing in my book), have to rewatch 3 as I didn't feel it at the time thought mostly enjoyed it.

Westworld S1 is one the best shows I’ve ever seen.
S2 is really convoluted indeed, strange. Still, some absolutely stellar episodes there.
S3 had a few good episodes but I actually stopped watching halfway the season FINALE.  :lol Just couldn’t give a sht anymore suddenly.

Yea. Season 1 is top notch. The second season was mostly fine with some great moments. I have no idea what happened to season 3. It just lost it.

Reading this thread, apparently I'm not the only one!  :)   I don't mind them if they're done right, or they're provocative.  I don't like them when they're pandering, as they are in most broadcast network shows these days.

I lost it after season 2, I don't care for this show anymore even though the first season is pretty good.  I wouldn't suggest to anyone to jump into such a show that totally loses its way IMO.

Just started Sasquatch, a murder-mystery "documentary" on Hulu.

First episode was interesting.  We'll see how it goes.

Been bouncing back and forth between Band of Brothers and Charlie's Angels. Never really seen either of them. BoB has been pretty good, but it's hard keeping track of who's who. It focuses on so many different people, and often times an episode will only really deal with one or two that hadn't gotten a ton of airtime. Not to mention, rank insignia is often blacked out or hard to see. Particularly among the officer corps. I suspect the war will be over by the time I get everybody sorted out.

One pretty cool thing about watching it now, rather than when it first came out, is the huge number of mini-documentaries you can find on YT about specific battles. You can watch the episode, and then watch a factual, tactical explanation of how it actually went down. I was already a fan of The Operations Room, but their analysis of the Battle of Brecourt Manor, the reason Richard Winters [deservedly] has basically an entire miniseries devoted to him, was great to see.

As for CA, it's actually not bad, and a nice change of pace from the horrors of war. Hadn't occurred to me until now, but they're basically doing pretty much the same thing that the IMF was doing 10 years earlier, just with hot chicks instead of Peter Graves and Leonard Nimoy (with all due respect to Leslie Ann Warren and Barbara Baine). Like MI, it's still a little to formulated for TV (predictable what will happen in each act), but that's just television. I've already seen at least one mindfuck that would have impressed Jim Phelps. As for the gals, I haven't seen enough to pick a winner yet, but Jaclyn Smith is absolutely holding her own against Farrah.
Argument, the presentation of reasonable views, never makes headway against conviction, and conviction takes no part in argument because it knows.

This place loves a good list, so:

Jaclyn Smith
Tanya Roberts
Kate Jackson/Farrah Fawcett (depends)
Cheryl Ladd
Shelley Hack

I should revisit that as well; I never watched it much, to be honest (it was a shade before the hormones kicked in).  I LOVED MI.  I used to watch that religiously.

I've hardly ever watched Charlie's Angels, but my list would be:

1. Kate Jackson
2. Jaclyn Smith
3. Shelley Hack
4. Farrah Fawcett-Majors (as she was billed on the show)
5. Cheryl Ladd
6. Tanya Roberts

Not that you could go wrong with any of them.

How could you forget and leave off the magnificent Tanya Roberts?!?!?

FWIW, when I was living in Burbank, I ran into Jaclyn Smith.  Literally, I ran into her; I was coming around the corner of an aisle in the market, racing to catch up to my friends, and I banged into her cart.  She was wearing just grey sweat pants and a grey sweat shirt, and still looked so gorgeous it was disconcerting.  I could barely mumble "sorry" before I moved on (and I'm pretty sure she heard "soobietube" or something like that).   At that point I had never actually had to talk with a woman that beautiful in my life.

Just watched the first episode of The Underground Railroad on Prime. Historical telling of the era, very, very well done. Very heavy handed though, no way I could binge this one and not end up despondent as fuck. I will finish it, but I'll take it in doses for sure.

Finished the last season of Silicon Valley. Man, what a ride.

The first season will always be, to me, one of the best opening seasons of TV ever, so funny, so witty, and an absolutely faithful portrait of the technology world. I'm no longer in it but I started as a programmer after tech school and I'm definitively "in" all the jokes.

I saw the last season after quite some time since season 5, and coming back to it after so long the modus operandi was clearer than ever: the gang has success at hand, someone screws up and ruins everything, but in the face of impending doom caused by a problem turns out there's a solution to turn things right again. Rinse and repeat. So the gimmick was running short, but they still managed to bring the series to a satisfying and emotional end, with a lot of black humor and kicking our favorite tech heroes one last time.

Brilliant ending for a brilliant series. I rememeber in high school I did good all year in maths, always getting an 8 (out of 10), and as final evaluation for the year, as a reward the teacher gave me a 9. I never got a 9, I was mostly at 8, but the 9 was the reward for being costantly good all year.

So I will give to the whole Silicon Valley series a loud 10. It was not always THAT perfect, but in the overall run of the series, the laughs were so many and they deserve full praise, even if the random episode or the occasional storyline were not always that convincing. I will always be fond of this series and it never lost quality that much, so it's gonna enter my hall of fame of TV shows. It was the right time to end it but I will miss these guys.
